Half-Day Delhi Sightseeing* & Onward Journey to Agra

  • Relish the early breakfast, then plunge into the labyrinth of the Chandni Chowk Market in the Delhi. Board a cycle-rickshaw and watch the bazaar come alive: saffron-robed priests bargaining for the marigolds, chefs ladling the spiced chickpeas from steaming cauldrons.
  • Hop off at the Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, which features the red-sandstone minarets piercing the morning haze.
  • Photo stop at the imposing Red Fort before cruising south to the leafy district of Mehrauli for Qutub Minar, the world’s tallest brick minaret at 72.5 m—an architect’s riddle from 1193.
  • After lunch, settle into the expressway drive to the Agra (210 km/3.5 h). Your chauffeur handles the tolls while you watch the rural India roll by: emerald paddy fields, camel carts and the roadside tea stalls.
